Southall Library has an extensive selection of books in Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu provided by a dedicated multi-lingual member of staff. There are also dual language books for children in Arabic, Bengali and Somali. There is a large selection of audio-visual material in English and Asian languages. A separate reference library on the first floor includes a sizeable collection of books on the Indian subcontinent, a variety of Asian language newspapers and magazines and local community information. There is also free internet-access terminals, a colour photocopier, CD Rom network, word processing, study space and a homework club on Thursdays 4pm-6pm. CDs, DVDs and videos are available for loan. Southall Learning Centre, which is within the library, provides free computer training. Open: Mon, Fri and Sat 9am-5pm; Tues, Wed, Thurs 9am-7.45pm; Sun 2pm-5pm. Disabled access to the ground floor. Photocopier (black & white), Free Computer Access, Free Internet Access, ICT Training Room, Junior Library Section, Reference with Study Room, Council & Local Information Point, Pensioner's Advisory Desk.
